Insurance & Coverage
Overview
At ZQ Removals, we understand that protecting your belongings is the most important part of any local or interstate relocation. We maintain comprehensive business cover to ensure your move-day planning is backed by verified security and professional accountability.
Our crew takes every precaution, including protective felt wrapping, heavy-duty moving blankets, and specialized tie-down strapping, to protect your items. In addition to our careful handling standards, we support your move with dedicated insurance options outlined below.
Public Liability Insurance
We carry comprehensive Public Liability Insurance to protect third-party property during our moving operations. This covers any accidental damage to the physical buildings, common areas, or third-party assets at both your origin and destination addresses.
- Coverage includes damage to walls, doorframes, floorboards, and shared building lobbies.
- Protects against accidental damage caused by carrying bulky furniture through tight spaces.
- Ensures both residential properties and commercial premises are fully protected during loading and unloading.
Transit Protection & Goods in Transit
Our moves are supported by Goods in Transit insurance. This cover is designed to protect your furniture, electronics, and household belongings against major accidents during road transit between Adelaide and your new home, office, or interstate destination.
To maintain the validity of transit protection, we enforce strict packing standards:
- Professional Packed Boxes: Full transit protection applies to all boxes packed by our trained crew, as we use professional-grade materials and structured loading patterns.
- Owner-Packed Boxes (DIY): Cartons packed by the owner are covered for transit incidents involving the truck itself, but individual item breakages inside owner-packed boxes are excluded from standard cover due to packing quality variables.
- Oversized and Fragile Items: Heavy furniture pieces, pianos, slate tables, and delicate electronics must be flagged in your quote brief so we can allocate the correct loading equipment and protection straps.
Strata & Building Manager Certificates
If you are moving in the Adelaide CBD, Glenelg, Norwood, or other high-density areas, building managers and strata companies frequently require a Certificate of Currency (CoC) before permitting a truck into the loading dock or booking the service lift.
We regularly issue Certificates of Currency to building managers to secure access. If your building management requires proof of cover:
- Request the Certificate of Currency during your manual quote review.
- Provide the exact name and email address of the strata company or building manager.
- Our administration team will supply the documentation directly to the building manager before move day.
Quote Scoping & Custom Cover
Because we review every move brief manually, we ensure your specific inventory value and access risks are accounted for before booking. We encourage clients to discuss their high-value items, specialized electronics, and access constraints during the quoting phase.
If your relocation includes items of exceptional value, let us know so we can confirm tailored transit cover terms or assist you in securing additional third-party marine transit cover for long-distance routes.
